Lynne gained her diploma of Sports & Remedial Massage from Western School of Massage in 2014.
She holds an Advanced Practitioner certificate, dealing with more specific soft tissue problems in
for example, the shoulder, hip or lumbar spine areas. She is currently studying for her
Diploma in Oncology Massage.
After studying with “Western School of Massage”, she just couldn’t leave and after starting out as
a tutor and lecturer, went on to take over the business 4 years ago. They run University Accredited
courses in Swedish Massage and Remedial & Sports Massage. She lectures in anatomy, physiology and
pathology as well as teaching the practical aspects of soft tissue treatments.
Lynne is a firm believer in the biopsychosocial approach to client care and therefore every treatment
is specific to that client, that day. There should never be a “one size fits all” approach. One of her
old lecturers once said, “Think of Massage as a hug to your nervous system.” And she trusts that
statement more than ever these days.
Lynne is registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CHNC) and a member of the Scottish Massage
Therapy Organisation (SMTO).
In her spare time, Lynne enjoys running and coming from a farming background, loves nothing more than
spending time outdoors. As Billy Connolly said, “there’s no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes!”
