Kinetic Chain Release (KCR)

Kinetic Chain Release (KCR) is a full body modalisty of gentle mobilisations and stretches developed by Scottish physiotherapist Hugh Gilbert. It aims to shorten injury and recovery time and rlease a multitude of aches and pains and rebalance the body. It is suitable for all ages, from the very young to elderly.

Oftentimes it is a focus on posture to allow it to return to its natural balance and alightnement. Many people have a leg length difference whichi in most cases is functional and can be easily resolved and once realigned gives them greater flexibility and ease of movement.

A KCR session involves gentel yet deep stretches and mobilisations to key joints throughout the body and often people describe feeling lighter an dlooser after a session. In follow up and maintenance sessions connective tissue release techniques are often used to focus on remaining trouble spots. There are also techniques to support women's health.
